What can I expect during a Glowbar facial?
At Glowbar, our facials are designed to be efficient, effective and tailored to your skin’s needs. Here what you can expect during your visit:
- Semi-Private Rooms: We offer 1:1 facials in our rooms which are semi-private. Sound may carry within the space as they are not fully enclosed
- Wash your own face: You'll begin your visit at our wash bar, where you'll cleanse your face so we can get right down to business in the treatment room
- An energetic atmosphere: Unlike traditional spa environments, Glowbar is a lively space with light chatter, creating a welcoming and upbeat environment
Our facials may include a combination of the following services, customized just for you:
- Dermaplaning*: A manual exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and 80-90% of vellus hair (read: peach fuzz), leaving your skin smooth, glowing, and better able to absorb products. (*Not available in CT)
- Light Chemical Peels: Gentle, non-invasive peels that encourage cell regeneration to improve fine lines, acne, dry skin, and uneven pigmentation
- Manual Extractions: Clearing clogged or compacted pores through manual techniques
- Cavitation: A device that uses ultrasonic vibrations and water to deep-cleanse your pores, removing dirt, oil, and debris
- Microcurrent: Low-voltage electrical currents stimulate collagen and elastin production for a "natural" facelift effect
- High Frequency: This tool combats bacteria, reduces inflammation, and boosts blood circulation for anti-aging and acne-fighting benefits
- LED Light Therapy: Professional-grade light therapy that stimulates collagen and kills acne-causing bacteria
- Alginate Mask: A deeply hydrating peel off mask that normalizes the pH of the skin and refreshes and soothes the skin.
- Cryo Globes: Cooling massage tools that reduce puffiness, calm redness, and enhance circulation for a refreshed, sculpted look.
- Lymphatic Massage: A gentle massage technique that promotes drainage of excess fluids and toxins, leaving the skin contoured.
How much is a Glowbar facial?
$65 for members and $80 for non-members. Additional facials for members are $65.
How often should I get a Glowbar facial?
For optimal results, we recommend getting a facial at least once a month. However, you're welcome to come in more frequently; just ensure there's at least a two-week gap between facials to allow your skin time to recover and reset.
Are any of the products used at Glowbar tested on animals?
At Glowbar, we are committed to cruelty-free products; the one exception is Aquaphor on the lips at the end of the facial. Please note that Aquaphor is not cruelty-free. If you'd prefer to skip this part of the facial, simply let us know, and we'll happily accommodate your preference.
Is there anything I shouldn’t do before and after my Glowbar facial?
Before your facial:
- Prescription Retinol (Tretinoin, Retin-A, etc): Stop using prescription retinol 2-3 days before your facial
- Beards and Facial Hair: Avoid shaving the morning of your facial. You can shave the night before if needed, or simply skip shaving altogether
- Botox, Filler, and Lasers: Wait at least two weeks before your facial
- Permanent Makeup (inclusive of lip blushing, microblading, etc): Wait at least a week before your facial.
- Facial Waxing and Threading: Wait 2-3 days before your facial
- Accutane (or similar medication): Please wait 6 months after completing your medication cycle
After your facial:
- Refrain from using active ingredients like AHAs, BHAs, or Retinol for 24-48 hours to allow your skin to fully recover
- Refrain from steam, sauna, or heavy workouts for 24 hours
- Refrain from waxing or threading for 24 hours
- Wear SPF and avoid heavy makeup
What might prevent me from getting a Glowbar facial?
- Cold Sores: If you have a cold sore, you will need to wait until the scab has fully shed and the skin underneath has healed before getting a facial
- Eczema: Generally, facials are safe as long as you don't have active breakouts, flare-ups, or heightened sensitivity. We'll work with you to ensure your treatment is suitable
- Allergies: Please note any allergies on your intake form and inform your esthetician. We'll adjust your treatment to avoid any allergens
- Pregnancy-Safe Treatments: Glowbar treatments are pregnancy-safe; please notate that you are pregnant or breast-feeding on your intake form. Our estheticians will modify your facial as needed to ensure a safe facial for you and your baby
- Facial Waiting Period: We recommend giving your skin some downtime in between facials, but you can certainly receive more than one facial per month! Your esthetician will ensure that your treatment plan will be most beneficial with your most recent facial.

How old do I have to be to receive a Glowbar facial?
Anyone under the age of 18 requires parental consent. Any client under 18 must have their intake form signed by their parent or guardian in person before their first appointment. Once they have their form signed the first time, the parent or guardian does not have to accompany the client to any following appointments.
Billing and Booking
Why is a credit card required for booking an appointment?
Our booking system collects your credit card information to hold your appointment, however, you will not be charged until you complete your appointment and check out in-studio. If you intend on paying with a gift card, no problem! The credit card is still required to hold the appointment, but we'll redeem the gift card in-studio for non-member treatments (note that gift cards are not a valid method of payment for member treatments).
Can I request a specific esthetician?
All of our estheticians are trained in-house, to make sure that no matter who you see, you receive the same Glowbar facial experience. While we cannot guarantee that esthetician requests will always be honored, you can request an esthetician by leaving a note in your appointment, or by calling or emailing the studio you will be visiting. Policies
What is the cancellation policy at Glowbar?
We ask that all cancellations are made at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment time. Any cancellations or reschedules that occur less than 24 hours beforehand are subject to a $30 fee.
What is the late policy at Glowbar?
If you arrive at your appointment more than 5 minutes past the scheduled time, your facial will be modified to fit into the shortened time period. All clients arriving 10 minutes or more past their scheduled appointment time will be automatically cancelled/rescheduled; we will do our best to get you another appointment that day, but cannot guarantee that another time slot will be available. A Glowbar facial is designed to be the most effective within a 30 minute time frame, and we want you to get the most out of your experience!
What is the service animal policy at Glowbar?
Glowbar welcomes clients and their service dogs at all of our studio locations. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service dogs are permitted in our studios as they are individually trained to perform specific tasks to assist their handlers.
To ensure a seamless experience, please note:
- Service dogs must remain under the handler’s control at all times and should be leashed or harnessed unless such devices interfere with the service dog’s work.
- For hygiene and safety reasons, service dogs are not permitted on treatment beds or in areas where they may interfere with facial treatments or other services.
- If a service dog is disruptive or not housebroken, we may ask that the animal be removed, though we will still accommodate the client without the dog.
Glowbar does not permit emotional support animals (ESAs) in our studios, as they are not recognized as service animals under the ADA. If you have any questions about our service dog policy or need additional assistance, please contact us at support@glowbar.com prior to your appointment.
Returns
All facial services and membership payments are final sale. We accept returns of unopened retail products for an exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase.
Glowbar Membership
The Details
The Glowbar Membership is a monthly subscription that is automatically billed on the 1st of each month (requiring a valid credit card on file), which includes the following:
- One facial voucher awarded to your account each month
- Additional facials at member pricing
- One guest pass per membership year (bring a friend for free!)
- 15% off retail (20% off at sign up)
- Enrollment in our loyalty program
Vouchers do not roll over; if you miss your monthly facial, reach out to support@glowbar.com so we can work with you on a solution. Vouchers are issued on the 1st of each calendar month. Vouchers are valid for three months, allowing ample time for scheduling your facial using your monthly allotted facial voucher. If membership cancellation is elected, (your vouchers will be forfeit at the time of cancellation OR vouchers will remain valid for redemption in your account until their date of expiration and may be applied towards non-member facials; the remaining balance of which must be paid out of pocket). You can view your voucher quantity and dates of expiration in your Glowbar account.

What is a facial package?
A facial package is the perfect way to experience the benefits of consistent skincare—without the commitment of a monthly membership. Each package includes multiple 30-minute, customized facials at a bundled, discounted rate.
How do I purchase a facial package?
You can purchase a 3-pack, 6-pack, 9-pack, or 12-pack directly on our website or in-studio.
- 3 pack: $228 (Save 5%)
- 6-pack: $432 (Save 10%)
- 9-pack: $612 (Save 15%)
- 12-pack: $780 (Save 18.75%)
Do my facials expire?
Yes, each package has an expiration:
- 3-pack: Valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
- 6-pack: Valid for 9 months from the date of purchase
- 9-pack: Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
- 12-pack: Valid for 15 months from the date of purchase
How can I book my facial from my package?
You can book a (Non-Member) First Time Treatment if it’s your first facial with us or a (Non-Member) Returning Treatment if it is not your first facial. Note: you will be asked for your credit card again when booking your appointment—but don’t worry, you won’t be charged.
Can I share my facial package with others?
No, all facial packages are non-transferable.

Shipping
All of our orders are hand-packed, with love, in our small NYC office. We will do our best to ship your order within 2 business days, and we appreciate your patience!
Damaged or Lost Packages
Please contact us immediately if you receive an incorrect or damaged item so that we can fix it. If the tracking number on your order shows that your package has been delivered, please check with your neighbors and surrounding area first; if you cannot find it after 24 hours, reach out to support@glowbar.com.
Return Policy
We accept returns of unopened retail products for an exchange or refund within 21 days of delivery. Returned orders may be subject to a $10 processing fee.
Discounts and Gift Cards
Member discounts are redeemable on our online store with the code MEMBER. Gift cards purchased online or in-studio cannot be used on the Glowbar Shop.
Gift Cards
How can I purchase a gift card?
Gift cards can be purchased at any Glowbar studio, on our website here, or under a selected studio location. Please note, gift cards may be redeemed at any Glowbar studio, regardless of where they were purchased, but cannot be used online. Physical gift cards will not be replaced if lost or stolen. All gift card sales are non-refundable.
How can I redeem a gift card?
Show your physical gift card or virtual gift card number to the front desk at checkout to redeem. Gift cards cannot be used towards monthly membership payments or redeemed for member facials.
When booking a Non-Member facial with a gift card, you will need to put a credit card on file in order to hold the appointment; the front desk staff will apply your gift card at checkout!
